"This is a proposal for a Kinfolk-y presentation of the rustic Alaskan lifestyle of commercial fishing and homesteading that late-20s authors Emma Teal and her sister Claire experienced growing up and celebrate today, including 40-50 recipes. They were raised on a remote island in the Aleutians where the family operated a commercial fishing boat on which the sisters worked as deckhands. I first discovered them when I was prowling around for an Alaska cookbook and landed on their website where they sell their AK-related products (clothing, bags, flash-frozen salmon).
